Jo Bong-eop, New Vice Governor of Jeonbuk Province, to Inaugurate on the 30th of This Month

[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jo Bong-eop, the new Deputy Governor of Jeonbuk Province, will officially begin his duties upon taking office on the 30th.

Jeonbuk Province announced on the 27th that Jo Bong-eop, Legislative Officer of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, will be inaugurated as the 42nd Deputy Governor on the 30th.

Considering the urgent situation in the province due to COVID-19, the new Deputy Governor Jo will replace the inauguration ceremony by visiting each office in the provincial government to greet the staff.

Born in 1968 in Gochang, Deputy Governor Jo graduated from Gochang High School and Kyung Hee University with a degree in English Literature. He entered public service through the 36th Administrative Examination and, after serving as Director of Planning and Management Office of Jeonbuk Province and Deputy Mayor of Jeonju, he held positions such as Regional Development Policy Officer and Legislative Officer at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety before returning to his hometown after five years.

Deputy Governor Jo stated, “Now, with less than a year left in the 7th local government term, it is time to stably complete the projects that have been promoted so far and present a new vision for the future. To this end, we will break away from the existing industrial structure and lead the establishment of a new industrial ecosystem driven by Jeonbuk Province, opening the era of ecological civilization through the completion of the new industrial map.”
