Namwon-si Supports Convenient '080 Anshim Call' Service for Small Business Owners
[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Namwon City, Jeonbuk (Mayor Lee Hwan-joo) announced on the 27th that it will support the 080 Easy Phone Check-in Service for about 3,600 businesses and facilities in the jurisdiction that are required to prepare visitor logs due to the COVID-19 situation until the end of the year.
The 080 Safe Call Service is a system where facility users call the 080 number assigned to each business, and within 2-3 seconds, the visitor log is electronically created and stored, then automatically deleted after 4 weeks.
The call charge is borne by the recipient business (facility), but this time, as part of support for small business owners, Namwon City plans to bear the entire cost.
Users of the service can conveniently record visitor logs with a single phone call, and from the business owner's perspective, it is a service that reduces the burden of managing visitor logs.
Currently, indoor multi-use facilities and businesses must prepare visitor logs for all visitors, not just representatives, using different methods such as electronic visitor logs (QR codes), easy phone check-in, or handwritten logs to prevent COVID-19.
Among these, handwritten logs have been criticized for false or incomplete entries, hygiene issues, and concerns about information leakage, and confirming contacts when a confirmed case occurs requires considerable time and manpower.
The industries and facilities supported by Namwon City this time include health and hygiene sectors such as general restaurants and cafes, cultural and artistic facilities such as religious facilities, educational and sports facilities such as academies and indoor sports facilities, social welfare facilities such as senior centers, nursing homes, and facilities for the disabled, as well as wedding and funeral halls. Additionally, businesses considered to be blind spots in quarantine will be further identified and supported.
Businesses that have already applied for and are using this service can use the new 080 number assigned by the city later, with no burden on self-employed business owners.
For new businesses or those that have not yet received a number, submitting an application with a business registration certificate will result in immediate assignment of a number.
Self-employed business owners can check the 080 number for their business on the city hall website or at the Safety and Disaster Division, and can also print out the guidance poster.
A Namwon City official said, “We expect that this Safe Call Service support will be of some help to small business owners, and that it will contribute to strengthening COVID-19 quarantine by discovering quarantine blind spots that were not identified during implementation and preparing countermeasures.” He added, “We ask for the detailed guidance of small business owners and the thorough use by visitors to help create a safe Namwon.”
