Bathhouse-Originated Chain and Group Infections Continue in Ulsan... 8 of 14 Daily Confirmed Cases Related to Bathhouses
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] In Ulsan, 14 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed, including a series of cluster infections originating from a bathhouse.
Eight people were confirmed positive from just one bathhouse.
As of 10 a.m. on the 27th, Ulsan City announced that the 14 confirmed cases include 9 from Jung-gu, 3 from Buk-gu, and 2 from Dong-gu.
Eight residents of Jung-gu were identified as part of the chain infection related to the bathhouse.
Since the first confirmed case on the 25th, eight people have been infected at the bathhouse alone, and with external contacts, the total number of confirmed cases has risen to 14.
In Ulsan, another cluster and chain infection occurred at a different bathhouse in Jung-gu, resulting in a total of 41 confirmed cases as of the 26th.
One additional confirmed case was reported among those in self-quarantine related to a large retail store in Nam-gu, bringing the cumulative total to 66.
Recently, cluster and chain infections linked to a daycare speech instructor have continued, with two self-quarantined individuals testing positive, increasing the cumulative confirmed cases to 23.

Additionally, one person returned from the United Arab Emirates on the 24th of this month and tested positive, and one case is currently under investigation for the infection route.
