In a statement delivered via text message on the same day, Rep. Yoon said, "It is originally impossible to evade investigation by resigning from the Assembly, and rather, it is something I look forward to," adding, "As I stated in the press conference, I was not involved at all in the process of my father's land purchase, and I will transparently submit all materials if requested during the investigation."
She continued, "I submitted the resignation letter to the legislative affairs office before yesterday's press conference," and emphasized, "I hope the opposition party members will stop using my political decision to cover their own elections or allegations and to damage me."
