Gimhae City Supports Small Businesses with 'Gimhae Economic Vitality Fund' Separate from Government Grants... 10,756 Locations, Total 5.9 Billion KRW Provided
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 26th, Gimhae City in Gyeongnam announced that it will provide up to 1 million KRW of the 'Gimhae Economic Vitality Fund' in cash, separate from the government's 5th disaster relief fund, to industries severely affected by the extension of the 4th stage social distancing measures compared to other sectors.
The city plans to provide 1 million KRW per establishment to 959 businesses subject to gathering bans, such as entertainment establishments and singing practice rooms, and 500,000 KRW each to 9,797 establishments subject to gathering restrictions, including restaurants, cafes, PC rooms, arcades, and multi-rooms, before Chuseok.
The application procedures and reception dates for each supported industry will be announced on the city hall website by the end of August, and will be conducted separately from the government's Hope Recovery Fund application process.
For inquiries by industry, entertainment establishments, singing practice rooms, restaurants, and cafes should contact the City Hall Hygiene Division and Jangyu Branch Office Life Support Division (only for the Jangyu area), while PC rooms, arcades, and multi-rooms should contact the City Hall Culture and Arts Division and Jangyu Branch Office Civil Affairs Division (only for the Jangyu area).
