Cheonan Seonggeo~Mokcheon and 8 Road Construction Projects in Chungnam Pass Preliminary Feasibility Study
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Eight road construction projects in Chungnam, including Cheonan Seonggeo~Mokcheon, have passed the government's comprehensive preliminary feasibility study.
According to Chungnam Province on the 26th, eight road construction projects in the province passed the preliminary feasibility study conducted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, giving momentum to the project implementation.
The total project cost to be invested in these projects is about 1 trillion won. The list of projects that passed the preliminary feasibility study (project cost) includes ▲Cheonan Seonggeo~Mokcheon national road alternative bypass ▲National Road No. 1 Cheonan Mokcheon~Samryong section ▲National Road No. 29 Seosan Dokgot~Daero section ▲National Road No. 23 Nonsan Gang-gyeong~Chaeun section ▲Local Road No. 70 Asan Eumbong~Cheonan Seonghwan section.
Among them, the Cheonan Seonggeo~Mokcheon project involves constructing a road over a 12.88 km section, and once completed, it is expected to partially alleviate the habitual congestion between Cheonan downtown and the southern ring road.
Also, the construction of National Road No. 29 Seosan Dokgot~Daero and Local Road No. 70 Asan Eumbong~Cheonan Seonghwan sections is expected to reduce logistics costs for surrounding industrial complexes and individually located factories.

Lee Dong-min, Director of the Construction and Transportation Bureau of the province, said, "We will focus administrative efforts on securing design costs so that we can start designing the road projects that passed the preliminary feasibility study."
