Yoon Ho-jung: "Plenary Session on the 30th to Handle All Including Media Law"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] Yoon Ho-jung, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated on the 25th, "We have agreed to hold a plenary session at 4 p.m. on August 30 to handle all the pending agenda items that could not be processed today after negotiating additional schedules."
The agenda includes 20 bills such as the Media Arbitration Act, the law to raise the exemption criteria for comprehensive real estate tax, and the operating room CCTV law. Personnel matters related to the redistribution of standing committees agreed upon by the ruling and opposition parties will also be addressed together.
The Democratic Party plans to convene a full committee meeting regarding the Media Arbitration Act. This system involves all members of the National Assembly participating in discussions on bills related to government organization, taxation, or those that impose burdens on the public.

Floor leader Yoon said, "I have sufficiently explained to the opposition the reasons why a full committee meeting is necessary," adding, "The request to convene a full committee meeting can be made if more than one-quarter of the total members request it, so it is not a matter for ruling and opposition agreement." He also stated, "The differences in position on the Media Arbitration Act remain unchanged."
