Jeongeup-si to Open 'Cheonbyeon Nuri Park' on the 27th
[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City, Jeollabuk-do (Mayor Yoo Jinseop) has created a family-oriented recreational facility and children's playground called ‘Cheonbyeon Nuri Park’ at the former children's water sledding site.
According to the city on the 25th, ‘Cheonbyeon Nuri Park’ is a family recreational facility established as a campaign pledge of the 7th local government administration to provide citizens with a resting space and to lay the foundation for attracting tourists and revitalizing the local economy.
This project covers a total area of 3,331㎡ with a budget of 1.95 billion KRW. Construction began in June last year, was completed at the end of last month, and will officially open on the 27th.
The park includes 15 gazebos, 12 cooling fog units, a zipline, combination playground equipment, restrooms, and parking lots, offering a healing space for residents and tourists.
In particular, the gazebos provide shaded resting spots on the lawn, making them popular not only as family outing locations but also as children's nature learning centers or picnic spots.
The cooling fog sprays fine mist to lower the surrounding temperature during summer and helps improve air quality by absorbing and settling fine dust particles in the air.
The children's playground facilities consist of a zipline and combination playground equipment.
Especially, the 25-meter-long zipline is expected to be the most popular facility among children, enjoying top popularity.
At night, LED landscape lighting has been installed to stimulate a healing atmosphere for nearby citizens taking walks, allowing safe use of the park even after dark.
Inside the newly built restrooms, energy-saving automatic sensor lights have been installed, and heating and cooling systems have been added to block summer heat and winter cold.
Cheonbyeon Nuri Park has no separate usage fees or reservation procedures, and citizens who wish to use it can enjoy it for free at any time.
Mayor Yoo Jinseop said, “By creating this recreational facility, we have not only provided a resting space for citizens but also laid the foundation for attracting tourists and revitalizing the local economy. We will develop it into a local attraction where people can enjoy themselves safely in the COVID-19 era.”
