Naver Reviews Investment in Medical Data Company 'EasyCareTech'
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Naver is considering an investment in the electronic medical record (EMR) company EasyCareTech.
According to the IT industry on the 24th, Naver is reportedly reviewing negotiations to acquire a 10% stake in EasyCareTech and to pursue joint business in the medical data field. The investment amount is estimated to be around 30 billion KRW.
Founded in 2001, EasyCareTech specializes in systems that store medical data such as patient symptoms and prescriptions.
Naver is conducting telemedicine business through Japan's Line and the 'Precision Healthcare Information System (P-HIS)' business through Naver Cloud. The industry expects that combining Naver's cloud technology with EasyCareTech's medical data will enable various business plans.
