On the 23rd, the provincial fire department conducted a pre-inspection of 203 locations at risk of wind and flood damage by city and county, ensured 100% operational readiness of water rescue and firefighting equipment at all times, and assessed the status of the joint response system with related agencies.
Typhoon "Omais" is expected to make landfall on the Korean Peninsula on the night of the 24th and weaken into an extratropical cyclone. The fire department plans to prepare for heavy rainfall caused by the pressure trough over the West Sea and moisture inflow from the typhoon.
Additionally, they urged thorough safety measures for dispatched personnel and the operation of on-site safety inspectors to prevent accidents.
