COVID-19 1,880 New Cases... Below 2,000 After Two Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] On the 21st, the daily number of new COVID-19 cases was 1,880.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) announced that as of midnight on that day, the number of new confirmed cases increased by 1,880, bringing the total to 234,739. This is 172 fewer than the 2,052 cases reported the previous day, marking the first time in two days that the number fell below 2,000.
Compared to 1,928 cases reported a week ago on Saturday (as of midnight on the 14th), it is 48 fewer. Regarding the infection routes of the new confirmed cases on that day, 1,814 were locally transmitted and 66 were imported cases.
