New President of Korea Ocean Business Corporation Appointed: Former Vice Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Kim Yang-su

View original image[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced on the 20th that Kim Yang-su, former Vice Minister, has been appointed as the 2nd President of the Korea Ocean Business Corporation.
President Kim graduated from the Department of History at Korea University and obtained a master's degree in Maritime Policy from Washington State University in the United States. He later earned a Ph.D. in Logistics from Incheon National University.
Kim, who entered public service by passing the 34th Administrative Examination in 1991, served as spokesperson of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Director of Maritime Policy Office, Director of Planning and Coordination Office, and concluded his public service career last year as Vice Minister. Since then, he has been teaching students as a distinguished professor at Incheon National University.

President Kim's term is three years, from the 23rd of this month until August 22, 2024.
