Jinju City Expands Welfare Support Fund for Young Workers Employed in Small and Medium Enterprises
Among over 1,200 applicants, 500 were selected as first-round candidates
Only those meeting eligibility criteria are under review for additional second-round support
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 19th that it will expand the scale of the ‘Welfare Support Fund for Youth Employment in Small and Medium Enterprises’ and provide additional support for employed youth.
The city initially aimed to recruit 500 participants for the project, but 1,232 people applied, exceeding the plan, so additional project funds will be provided.
The city will conduct document screening from August 1 to 16, select 500 people for the first round of support, and is considering expanding support for the remaining 580 applicants through securing the third supplementary budget in September.
Eligible recipients will receive welfare support funds in the form of mobile Jinju Love Gift Certificates worth up to 1.2 million KRW per year, distributed four times annually (300,000 KRW per quarter).
Only the first-round recipients will receive the first installment of 300,000 KRW in the fourth week of August, and the second installment will be paid in early November.
Additionally, once the third supplementary budget is secured, the second-round recipients will be selected, and support funds will be paid in September and November respectively.
