According to major foreign media, on the 18th (local time), the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that it would allow the deployment of civilian aircraft to assist with the Afghanistan withdrawal, subject to approval from the Department of Defense.
Initially, U.S. aircraft, except those belonging to the Department of Defense, are not allowed to enter Afghan airspace or Kabul International Airport without approval.
However, foreign media reported that no movement has been detected at the Department of Defense level to deploy civilian aircraft.
