Chosun University Professors Andonggyu and Imsangsu Appointed as Expert Members of the Local Autonomy and Decentralization Committee

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Chosun University announced on the 18th that Professor Andonggyu of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Professor Im Sangsoo of the Department of Economics have been appointed as financial decentralization expert members of the 4th Presidential Committee on Autonomy and Decentralization.
The Presidential Committee on Autonomy and Decentralization is an organization that comprehensively coordinates policies to realize decentralization, a core task among the 100 national tasks of the Moon Jae-in administration, in accordance with the "Special Act on Local Autonomy Decentralization and Local Administrative System Reform."
Professors An and Im will serve as financial decentralization experts, preparing reform plans for local finance systems to enhance the autonomy and responsibility of local finances, and supporting research and review on matters related to financial decentralization.
Professor An said, "I will faithfully fulfill the role of reviewing and investigating policies from various perspectives for financial decentralization," adding, "I will do my best to reform the local finance system for true grassroots democracy."
