[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] It is the strong confidence of 'Golf Empress' Park In-bee (33, KB Financial Group, photo).
On the 18th (Korean time), at the official press conference of the last major of the 2021 LPGA Tour season, the AIG Women's Open (total prize money $4.5 million) held at the Carnoustie Golf Links in Scotland (par 72, 6,850 yards), she said, "I have also achieved good results here," and "I really look forward to it because I like the Links course." It is the moment when she is aiming for her 8th major win in 6 years since winning this tournament at Trump Turnberry Golf Club in Scotland in 2015.
In 2011, she tied for 7th place at this course. She smiled and said, "I played 15 holes yesterday, but I don't remember the course well from 2011," adding, "I only remember eating a sausage roll after finishing the 10th hole." She continued, "The wind is a variable, and if it blows, it is a very difficult course, but if not, I think I can score to some extent," and explained, "I heard the course length has increased a bit compared to 2011."

This is her first tournament after finishing tied for 23rd at the Tokyo Olympics. She said, "Except for the Olympics, this year has been generally good," and expressed her determination, "Since this is the last major of the season, I want to give it my all."
