Honorary Chairman Chung Mong-koo Receives 30.2 Billion KRW in Retirement Pay from Hyundai Mobis
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Chung Mong-koo, Honorary Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, received 30.2 billion KRW in severance pay and other payments from Hyundai Mobis in the first half of this year.
According to the semi-annual report disclosed by Hyundai Mobis on the 17th, Honorary Chairman Chung received a total of 30.234 billion KRW, including a salary of 472 million KRW and retirement income of 29.763 billion KRW.
Honorary Chairman Chung handed over the chairman position to his son, Chung Euisun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, in October last year and was appointed Honorary Chairman. In March this year, he also resigned from his last remaining registered director position at Hyundai Mobis.
