NC Kim Taek-jin's First Half Salary 9.4 Billion Won... Still Industry's Highest Level
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Kim Taek-jin, CEO of NCSoft, received a total compensation of 9.442 billion KRW in the first half of this year.
According to NCSoft's 2021 semi-annual report on the 17th, CEO Kim received a total of 9.442 billion KRW in the first half of this year, including a salary of 1.122 billion KRW, bonuses of 8.318 billion KRW, and other labor income of 2 million KRW.
Compared to the 13.292 billion KRW he received in the first half of last year, this is about a 29% decrease, but it remains the highest level across the IT industry.
The largest portion of the annual salary, the bonuses, consisted of ▲short-term performance incentives ▲special long-term incentives ▲executive long-term incentives ▲special encouragement bonuses. Factors considered included the successful launch of Lineage 2M and achieving the highest sales last year amid uncertain domestic and international environments such as COVID-19.

In addition, Vice President Jung Jin-soo received 2.03 billion KRW, former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Yoon Jae-soo received 1.705 billion KRW, Senior Vice President (CPO) Kim Taek-heon received 1.593 billion KRW, and Vice President (PGO) Shim Seung-bo received 1.326 billion KRW, ranking among the top five highest salaries within the company.
