Nambu Police and Gwangju Christian Hospital Join Forces to Strengthen Crime Victim Protection System
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Nambu Police Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City (Chief Jo Gyu-hyang) and Gwangju Christian Hospital (Director Choi Yong-su) signed a 'Business Agreement to Strengthen the Protection and Support System for Crime Victims' at Gwangju Christian Hospital on the 17th.
This event was organized to address the limitations of medical support for victims, as violence among family members is increasingly frequent and habitual, and only one Gwangju Sunflower Center is currently operating.
Gwangju Christian Hospital will provide prompt emergency treatment for victims of domestic violence and child abuse, while the police station will promptly refer injured victims requiring emergency treatment to medical institutions with which treatment agreements have been signed. The dedicated abuse police officers will provide victim protection and support, including legal counseling.
