KB Kookmin Card Launches 'KB Pay Challenge Card' Specialized for KB Pay
Earn up to 98,000 points per month when using KB Pay
Includes fun elements for point accumulation and real-time benefit check service
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] KB Kookmin Card is launching a card specialized for 'KB Pay.' This is part of its digital innovation to advance as a comprehensive financial platform company.
On the 17th, KB Kookmin Card announced the release of the 'KB Pay Challenge Card' and 'KB Pay Challenge Plus Card,' which accumulate up to 98,000 points per month when registered and used with KB Pay, and offer additional point benefits through weekly task-based events.
This card allows users to check usage performance and benefit status in real time via the KB Pay application (app) and push notification service, and benefits are provided based on the current month's approval performance without any previous month's usage conditions. Additionally, it introduces the concept of quests, where rewards are given upon completing missions in online games, allowing customers to earn points by achieving certain weekly tasks.
When this card is registered with KB Pay and used for transactions of 10,000 KRW or more at online and offline merchants, 1,000 points are accumulated every 3 transactions within a monthly maximum of 50,000 points regardless of the previous month's usage. Also, if used daily for transactions of 10,000 KRW or more for a week, 1,000 points are accumulated weekly up to a maximum of 4,000 points per month.
For the KB Pay Challenge Plus Card, if the current month's approval amount exceeds 800,000 KRW, 4,000 points are provided monthly.
Customers who apply for the product-specialized event running until December 25 this year and have a previous month's approval amount of 400,000 KRW or more can earn 3,000 points per quest by completing three weekly conditions (quests). If all three quests are completed, an additional 1,000 points are awarded, allowing accumulation of up to 10,000 points weekly and 40,000 points monthly.
Also, during the event period, if this card is registered and used with KB Pay, a Lucky Box is provided through the KB Pay app, which instantly accumulates points randomly from 0.01% to a maximum of 0.08% of the payment amount for each transaction.
This card offers high-quality and collectible card designs through design collaboration with five famous artists affiliated with Speaker, a joint management company of Estim and SM Entertainment: ▲Ssam Baipen ▲Nanan ▲Seonglib ▲May Kim ▲Chae In-cheol, based on the 'Multi Design Process' established last month.
There is also an event where customers who issue this card through online channels and use it above a certain amount will be entered into a draw to receive limited edition goods such as card holders and grip-toks designed by the five artists, given to 3,000 winners.
The annual fee is 15,000 KRW for the 'KB Pay Challenge Card' and 30,000 KRW for the 'KB Pay Challenge Plus Card.' If issued as a mobile-only card registered on a smartphone without issuing a physical plastic card, the annual fees are 9,000 KRW and 24,000 KRW, respectively.
