SKT Launches AI-Based Cloud Management Platform 'Cloud Radar'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] SK Telecom announced on the 17th the launch of ‘Cloud Radar,’ an AI-based next-generation cloud management platform.
Cloud Radar, equipped with SK Telecom’s AI technology, is a future-oriented Cloud Management Platform (CMP) that enables optimized cloud cost management. By learning customers’ cloud usage data, it predicts cloud usage costs, preemptively identifies potential errors, and finds optimal resource utilization methods to help reduce unnecessary cloud expenses.
Cloud Radar provides integrated management functions across multi- and hybrid-cloud environments. Additionally, it offers comprehensive management of SK Telecom’s cloud services, including ▲MEC (Mobile Edge Computing) ▲cloud networks ▲cloud security.
Companies using SK Telecom’s cloud subscription service can view cloud contract details, usage history, billing information, and AI-based customized analysis at a glance through Cloud Radar. It is linked with Bespin Global’s OpsNow, the nation’s top multi-cloud management platform, enabling more precise management of public cloud assets, costs, and policies.
Currently, Cloud Radar can manage Amazon AWS and Microsoft (MS) Azure. By the end of the year, it plans to expand management capabilities to include Google GCP, Naver NBP, and Kakao Enterprise.
SK Telecom is jointly developing a cost simulation service with Bespin Global that allows cloud users to compare switching costs among different cloud providers in advance, scheduled to launch in December.
