'Monochrome Master' Painter Kim Girin Passes Away
[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] Kim Ki-rin, a master of monochrome painting who had been active in France, passed away on the afternoon of the 12th (local time) in France due to an illness, Gallery Hyundai announced on the 14th. He was 85 years old. Born in Gowon, Hamgyeongnam-do, the late artist graduated from the French Department of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, then studied abroad at the University of Dijon, the ?cole Nationale Sup?rieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and the ?cole Nationale Sup?rieure des Arts D?coratifs. He lived in Paris and worked on his art. His surviving family (wife, one son, and one daughter) all live in France.
