Woori Financial Group Recruiting Participants for Multicultural Couples' Wedding Event 'Woori Wedding Day'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] Woori Financial Group's Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation announced on the 16th that it is recruiting couples to participate in the wedding ceremony 'Woori Wedding Day' for multicultural couples.
Now in its tenth year, Woori Wedding Day is a project that supports wedding ceremonies for multicultural couples who have been unable to hold weddings due to financial difficulties. Since 2013, a total of 90 multicultural couples have held weddings with the foundation's support.
Participants for this year's Woori Wedding Day can apply through the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation website until the 6th of next month. Considering application stories, income levels, and number of dependents, a total of 10 couples will be selected.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the ceremony will be held as a small-scale wedding focused on immediate family members. Sohn Tae-seung, Chairman of Woori Financial Group and Chairman of the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation, will officiate the ceremony remotely via video.

Additionally, all expenses including the wedding ceremony, wedding photography, and family travel will be covered by the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation. A representative of the foundation stated, "Through Woori Wedding Day, we will support multicultural couples and their families in creating precious and special memories and leading a stable married life in Korean society."
