Prosecutors Indict Teen Son for Stabbing Sleeping Father with Knife
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] The prosecution has indicted a teenage son who attempted to kill his sleeping father with a weapon.
On the 13th, the Criminal Division 3 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Seo Jeongsik) indicted 18-year-old son A on charges of attempted parricide for stabbing his sleeping father with a weapon.
Earlier, A is accused of swinging a weapon at his 60-year-old father, who was sleeping at their home in Jung-gu, Seoul, around 10:30 p.m. on the 30th of last month, causing injury.
A had previously experienced mental health difficulties, but investigations revealed that he was not in a state of insanity or diminished capacity at the time of the crime.
