The visiting Storytelling Grandmother Classroom is a program where instructors composed of Jeonnam Storytelling Grandmothers visit small libraries, apartment complexes, and other locations to vividly tell traditional fairy tales.
As a result of accepting applications for program openings since July, a total of 15 places applied to participate, and in the first program that started on July 27 at the Oryong Prugio 2nd Apartment Complex, children who came with their mothers during the vacation enjoyed listening to traditional fairy tales such as "The Farting Daughter-in-law" and "The Old Woman and the Tiger."
Mothers who participated in the program said, "We were glad that a program that can be easily participated in within the complex was opened, so we did not have to go far with the children," and "We hope that more programs will continue to be operated in the future."
Governor Kim San said, "The traditional fairy tales told by the Storytelling Grandmothers are expected to provide emotional stability to children who find it difficult to go out due to the elevation to social distancing level 3," and added, "We will do our best to ensure the program operates safely while carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation."
