Travel Advisory Extended Until the 13th of Next Month Due to COVID-19 Spread
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] As the spread of COVID-19 continues worldwide, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 13th that the special travel advisory for all countries and regions has been extended for one month until September 13.
The special travel advisory is issued for urgent short-term risks and corresponds to travel alert level 2 (refrain from travel) or higher and level 3 (recommend evacuation) or lower.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged citizens to cancel or postpone overseas travel and advised those abroad to exercise special caution for personal safety by refraining from movement.
Considering the ongoing global pandemic of COVID-19 and the spread of variant viruses, many countries still restrict entry.
The Ministry explained that since returning citizens may spread the virus domestically, it is necessary to refrain from overseas visits from a quarantine perspective.
