Kooksoondang Supports 'Dunnae Highland Tomato Festival' to Help Local Farms
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Kooksoondang announced on the 13th that it will sponsor the successful hosting of the 'Dunnae Highland Tomato Festival,' a representative local summer festival held in Hoengseong, Gangwon-do, where its headquarters is located.
Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the festival has been popular every year with various attractions such as a large tomato pool, contributing to the local economy; however, it was canceled last year due to COVID-19.
This year, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the scale will be reduced, opening and closing ceremonies will be omitted, and highland tomatoes will be sold via a drive-thru method. Additionally, there are plans to distribute tasting samples of creative foods using tomatoes. The festival will be held from the 13th to the 15th at Dunnae Sports Complex in Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon-do.
Kooksoondang will support the event by promoting it through Kooksoondang's social media services (SNS) to help the local community facing difficulties, and by providing Kooksoondang rice Makgeolli for the harmony event involving event officials and local residents.
