According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on the 11th (local time), the Indian government is currently negotiating to purchase 50 million doses of vaccines from Pfizer. It is also known to be in talks with Johnson & Johnson. The vaccine developed by Janssen, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, was granted emergency use authorization in India on the 7th.
India is also scheduled to receive 7 million doses of the Moderna vaccine from the United States through the international vaccine-sharing project COVAX.
