Yacht Capsizes Off Beomseom Island, Seogwipo... All 19 Crew Members Rescued

On the 11th, the Seogwipo Coast Guard received a report at around 4:17 PM that vessel A (19 tons, sailing yacht, registered in Gangjeong) had capsized and was sinking about 1 km northeast of Beomseom Island, Seogwipo.
The Seogwipo Coast Guard immediately dispatched patrol ships, coastal rescue boats from the local police station, and rescue teams to the scene, and requested cooperation for rescue from nearby vessels navigating the area.
All 19 people aboard the yacht were rescued around 4:33 PM by the patrol ship and two private marine rescue vessels that arrived at the scene.
All crew members were wearing suits, and their health condition was confirmed to be good.
Currently, the vessel remains capsized with only part of the hull exposed above the water surface, and since there is a possibility of sinking, towing is planned.
The Seogwipo Coast Guard will investigate the exact cause of the accident by questioning the captain.
