Prosecutor General's Office Plans to Dispatch Investigators to China to Probe Voice Phishing Base
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The prosecution is planning to dispatch investigators to China to investigate the base of a voice phishing organization.
According to the legal community on the 11th, the Anti-Corruption and Serious Crimes Division of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office has decided to send two prosecution investigators overseas for international cooperation in voice phishing investigations.
This is the first time that prosecution investigators have been dispatched overseas for voice phishing investigations. China is the most likely destination, as most domestic voice phishing cases are based there.
The Ministry of Justice is currently negotiating the related budget with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, so the dispatch is expected to take place next year.
