On the 11th, SPC Group announced that it will participate in the 'Muan Onion Bread Sharing Event to Promote Onion Consumption' organized by the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF).
On this day, at the NACF headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, Hwang Jaebok, CEO of SPC Group, Lee Seonghee, Chairman of NACF, and Seo Samsuk, Member of the National Assembly (Jeonnam Yeongam-Muan-Shinan District, Agriculture, Forestry, Livestock, Food, and Maritime Affairs Committee), discussed ways to revitalize onion consumption and shared their commitment to supporting farmers through a non-face-to-face campaign.
Through this event, NACF will distribute approximately 100,000 units of four types of Paris Baguette’s 'Muan Onion Bread,' launched by SPC Group after signing a 'Win-Win Agreement for Onion Consumption Activation' with Muan County, Jeollanam-do in June, to neighbors in need and COVID-19 quarantine volunteers via 202 NACF Bank branches.
SPC Group has previously signed memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with local farms and developed and launched various products using purchased agricultural products. It has also established a virtuous cycle of coexistence by donating part of the sales proceeds to local scholarships.
Hwang Jaebok, CEO of SPC Group, said, "It is especially meaningful that 'Muan Onion Bread,' introduced to alleviate the difficulties of onion farmers, is extending to community support activities through NACF. We will continue to carry out ESG management activities that spread and expand the value of coexistence."
