Jang Je-won, a member of the People Power Party and chief of staff at Yoon's camp, held a press conference at the National Assembly Communication Office that morning and revealed the first list of policy advisory experts for the "Yoon Seok-yeol National Camp." Jang said, "Through the advisory group, we will propose policies that realize a fair and reasonable Republic of Korea envisioned by former Prosecutor General Yoon and alleviate the suffering of the people."
This is the first time the Yoon Seok-yeol National Camp has formed and announced an advisory group composed of professors and experts rather than members of the National Assembly. The advisory group is divided into four sectors: economy, society, diplomacy/security/unification, and education. Professor Kim So-young of Seoul National University's Department of Economics will serve as secretary for the economic sector, with participants including former First Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Kyung-hwan. Professor Ahn Sang-hoon of Seoul National University's Department of Social Welfare will serve as secretary for the social sector, with names such as former Korea Employment Information Service President Yoo Gil-sang and Professor Hong Seok-cheol of Seoul National University's Department of Economics included. The diplomacy/security/unification sector is led by Chair Professor Yoon Deok-min of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies as secretary, with Professor Park Cheol-hee of Seoul National University's Graduate School of International Studies, former Second Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Kim Sung-han, and former Vice Minister of Unification Kim Cheon-sik among its members. The education sector consists of seven members, including former Vice Minister of Education Na Seung-il. The entire advisory group comprises 42 members, with former Vice Minister of the Office for Government Policy Coordination Lee Seok-jun serving as the overall secretary overseeing policies by sector.
Yoon's camp plans to further expand its ranks by appointing additional experts from academia, politics, and other fields. A camp official stated, "More members will join in the future, and the sectors may also be reinforced," adding, "Going forward, activities will mainly focus on policy announcements."
