Sancheong-gun to Provide Additional National Support Funds to Low-Income Households
About 2,900 Basic Livelihood Security Recipients to Receive 100,000 Won Each
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 9th that it will provide 'additional national support funds' to low-income residents who are struggling with their livelihoods due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The recipients of the additional national support funds include about 2,900 people such as basic livelihood security recipients, legally designated second-lowest income groups, and legally designated single-parent families receiving child-rearing support within the region.
This support fund is provided separately from the government's 5th disaster relief fund, which is a temporary living support for citizens with a median income of 88% or less.
The support fund will be 100,000 KRW per person and is scheduled to be paid in a lump sum on the 24th to the account of one representative of the beneficiary household.
Among the recipients, those whose welfare benefit account information is registered will receive the payment without a separate application.
Recipients of basic livelihood security medical and housing benefits who do not have account information need to apply through the town or township office of their residence.
