Daegu City Opens Public Delivery App 'Daeguro' with the Slogan 'Order to Daegu, Delivery to Your Home'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Daegu City is launching ‘Daeguro,’ a Daegu-style public delivery app that significantly reduces food delivery fees.
‘Daeguro’ is a Daegu-style public delivery app prepared to reduce the burden on small business owners and revitalize the neighborhood economy with no separate advertising fees and a low commission rate in the 2% range. It will undergo a two-week pilot service starting from the 10th and officially open on the 25th.
Previously, the city promoted the Daegu-style delivery platform project in collaboration with Kyungpook National University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation (Smart City Support Center) and selected Insung Data as the business operator.
‘Daeguro’ was selected through a public citizen contest last April, and to enhance brand awareness and citizen usage rates, it plans to reduce the burden on small business franchisees by applying low commission fees and provide various benefits such as reward points to citizens who use the service.
To use ‘Daeguro,’ users can access the ‘Daeguro’ website or download the app from mobile app stores or Google Play. Franchisees can register by applying on the ‘Daeguro’ website and submitting essential documents such as a business registration certificate, bankbook copy, and business report certificate.

Jeong Eegwan, Director of the Economic Bureau of Daegu City, said, “As the local economy struggles due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and amid concerns and expectations about public delivery apps, with the launch of ‘Daeguro,’ we will do our best to reduce the burden on local small business owners and contribute to revitalizing neighborhood commercial districts as an economic vaccine.”
