Namgu, Special Quarantine Inspection of Entertainment Facilities Until the 15th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Byung-nae) plans to continue special quarantine inspections of entertainment facilities to block the spread of COVID-19, focusing on the 2030 generation.
From the 9th to the 15th, Nam-gu will conduct a special joint quarantine inspection targeting 44 entertainment bars and karaoke bars in the district together with the Southern Police Station.
The inspection will focus on compliance with business hours and whether the number of people is limited to one person per 8㎡ of facility area.
Nam-gu will impose a 10-day business suspension on establishments that violate quarantine rules, and if confirmed cases occur, a 3-week business suspension will be enforced along with prosecution of the business operators and facility users.
A Nam-gu official stated, "If infected with the highly transmissible Delta variant virus, the impact on the local community will inevitably be greater," adding, "Especially since everyone is going through a difficult time, we earnestly ask for strict compliance with social distancing for the safety of the community."
