50s Fugitive Falls to Death While Escaping After Being Caught at Hotel
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A wanted suspect staying at a hotel died after falling from a building while trying to escape police arrest.
According to the police on the 7th, a report was received that a man in his 50s, identified as A, who had an arrest warrant issued for fraud charges, was hiding in a hotel room on the 7th floor in Seocho-gu, Seoul, around 10:30 a.m. the previous day.
When the responding officers attempted to open the room door, A used a fire escape device to flee and later fell from the 2nd floor of the building, sustaining a head injury. A was transported to a nearby hospital where he died while receiving treatment.

A police official stated, "A has been classified as a deceased person, and the Ulsan District Prosecutors' Office, which issued the wanted notice, has been notified to handle the case closure and related procedures."
