[Concall] LG Uplus, "Second half marketing expenses will not be significant despite new flagship device launch"
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] Lee Hyuk-joo, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of LG Uplus, responded on the afternoon of the 6th during the 2021 Q2 earnings conference call to a question about the marketing cost outlook related to the launch of new flagship devices such as Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold3 in the second half of the year. He said, “The increased spending due to excessive competition among the three telecom companies at the launch of 5G two years ago is still having an impact,” and added, “Even if new flagship devices are released in the second half, currently the three telecom companies are focusing on profit-centered management, so excessively high costs are unlikely to be incurred.”
