The district stated that this drive-thru temporary screening clinic was established to respond to the increasing demand for testing due to the prolonged 4th wave of COVID-19 and to allow residents to safely get tested amid the ongoing heatwave.
The drive-thru temporary screening clinic allows people to get tested safely without contact with other test takers and provides a comfortable testing environment inside their cars, avoiding the scorching sun or rain, which has received positive responses from residents. Already, 249 tests were conducted over two days from the first day of operation on the 4th to the 5th.
In particular, the Jungnang-gu drive-thru temporary screening clinic installed at Mangwoo Reservoir Park has the advantage of a large site area and easy access and exit by simply moving along the road.
The clinic operates daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., including weekends and holidays, with registration closing at 5:30 p.m. However, it closes for disinfection and sanitation from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Residents wishing to get tested by car can enter "Mangwoo Reservoir Park Drive-Thru Temporary Screening Clinic" into their navigation system or search the address 540 Mangwoo-ro to visit.
Upon arrival at the entrance, follow the administrative staff’s guidance to move to the questionnaire tent and fill out the medical questionnaire. Then, submit the questionnaire at the preparation tent, receive instructions, and proceed to the specimen collection tent to get tested.
Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “At this drive-thru screening clinic, residents can comfortably get tested while avoiding the heat, especially when accompanying family members with mobility difficulties. Even though the test is done inside the car, please be sure to wear a mask while waiting and during the test to ensure safety.”
