Typhoon Mirinae No.10 and Typhoon Nida No.11 Passing Japan... Impact of Vapor on Our Country
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] The 10th typhoon of the season, 'Mirinae,' formed on the afternoon of the 5th at 3 PM about 40 km northeast of Okinawa, Japan.
The central pressure of the typhoon is 992 hPa, and the maximum wind speed is 18 m/s.
Mirinae is currently moving northeast and is expected to pass over the sea northeast of Okinawa on the 6th, then over the sea southeast of Kagoshima on the 7th, and the sea southeast of Tokyo on the 8th, before weakening into an extratropical cyclone around the sea northeast of Tokyo on the 10th.
This typhoon is not expected to directly affect South Korea, but together with the previously formed 9th typhoon 'Lupit,' it may send a large amount of hot and humid water vapor toward South Korea.
Lupit is currently over the sea northeast of Shantou, China, and is expected to make landfall northeast of Shantou on the 6th, then return to the sea on the 8th and move toward Kagoshima, Japan.
On the same day, the 11th typhoon 'Nida' also formed about 830 km southeast of Tokyo, Japan.
The central pressure of Nida is 1000 hPa, and the maximum wind speed is 18 m/s. This typhoon is expected to move northward, passing near the seas around Sendai and Sapporo.
