Saewool Nuclear Power Plant, Recruitment of Trainees for Welder Training at Shinori Units 5 and 6 Construction Site
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters is recruiting trainees for the ‘Shin-Gori Units 5 and 6 Main Equipment Construction Welder Training Program’ targeting residents of the Ulsan area, welding experience workers from shipbuilding companies, and young job seekers and job changers.
The welder training program is designed to cultivate field-customized talent for local residents and to connect them with quality jobs. It has been implemented annually according to the ‘Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Job Creation at the Shin-Gori Units 5 and 6 Construction Site,’ signed in 2018 by seven public and private organizations including Ulsan City.
Since its inception in 2018, the program has produced 118 graduates. Among them, 81 have secured employment at the Shin-Gori Units 5 and 6 construction site or other industries.
The training will be conducted twice in a 4-week course from October 4 to November 26. Applicants who have been registered residents for more than one year or have lived for more than two years in Ulju-gun, Ulsan, or Gijang-gun, Busan, will be given priority in selection.
