Application for Diesel Vehicle Emission Reduction Device Installation Open Until the 18th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 4th that it is accepting the third round of applications for the 'Grade 5 Diesel Vehicle Emission Reduction Device Installation Project' to reduce high concentrations of fine dust.
The vehicles eligible for support for the installation of reduction devices are Grade 5 diesel vehicles based on emission standards. The total support budget is 228 million KRW, and support will be provided for 60 vehicles.
The subsidy for emission reduction devices ranges from approximately 2.46 million to 5.85 million KRW depending on the type, with a self-payment of 281,000 to 650,000 KRW, which is 10 to 12.5% of the device price.
Vehicles equipped with emission reduction devices must operate mandatorily for two years, and the environmental improvement charge will be exempted for three years. However, vehicles with installed reduction devices are not eligible for early scrapping subsidies. Applications can be submitted on the 'Vehicle Emission Grade System' website until the 18th.

The selection priority is given in the order of vehicles fined for violating operation restrictions, livelihood vehicles, commercial vehicles, vehicles with a gross weight of 3.5 tons or more, and recently manufactured vehicles.
