Commissioner Choi then visited the police riot squad stationed around Gwanghwamun to inspect working conditions during the hot season. He listened to the difficulties faced by riot squad members working day and night amid the nearly month-long heatwave and instructed to ensure adequate rest time through efficient personnel management and shortening shift cycles. He also checked and confirmed support measures such as providing wireless fans and ice makers to prevent heat-related illnesses.

Commissioner Choi said, "The Gwanghwamun area houses various major facilities and is a region where rallies and demonstrations are concentrated throughout the year," and urged, "Please strive to minimize inconvenience to citizens while establishing law and order through consistent and strict law enforcement." Additionally, Commissioner Choi requested that each member of the Seoul police strictly adhere to quarantine rules and manage assemblies with infection control measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
