[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Global asset management firm Vanguard is offering $1,000 (approximately 1.14 million KRW) in cash to employees who receive the COVID-19 vaccine to encourage vaccination.
According to Bloomberg on the 3rd (local time), Vanguard has decided to provide a $1,000 incentive to employees who get vaccinated against COVID-19 by October.
Employees who have already been vaccinated can also receive $1,000 upon proof of vaccination.
A Vanguard spokesperson explained, "This is a reward for taking the time to get vaccinated for the safety of the employees themselves, their colleagues, and the community."
Since the beginning of this year, Vanguard has implemented a so-called 'hybrid' work system, combining office and remote work.
