[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gyeongsang National University in Jinju, Gyeongnam announced on the 2nd that it will operate the 'Summer Online GNU English Camp' entrusted by Changnyeong-gun during the summer vacation.
The International Language Institute of Gyeongsang National University operated the first online English camp among national flagship universities during last summer and winter vacations.
This vacation, the class hours have been doubled and will be conducted through a real-time video conferencing program.
The county selected 33 students on its own to entrust the English camp in order to minimize the English learning gap for elementary and middle school students in the area despite the COVID-19 situation and to provide opportunities to improve their English skills.
The International Language Institute prepares customized learning kits (class materials, teaching aids, manuals, etc.) in advance for all participating students, with native speakers directly providing effective online learning.
In addition, by utilizing university student learning mentors, various experiential education and practical English situation experience education are conducted simultaneously to help students immerse themselves in online classes.
Graduates of the camp will receive English learning counseling and guidance for one year through the 'English Clinic (English feedback)' service.
