STEPI, Reorganization with Establishment of National Space Policy Center
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] The Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) announced on the 2nd that it has implemented an organizational restructuring as of the 1st, following its selection as the hosting institution for the National Space Policy Research Center by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
STEPI established the 'National Space Policy Research Center' as a department directly under the president. With this organizational restructuring, STEPI transitioned from 4 headquarters, 2 centers, 6 research groups, and 2 offices to 4 headquarters, 3 centers, 6 research groups, and 2 offices. Within the center, the 'Policy Research Team 1' and 'Policy Research Team 2' have been formed and are operating. A total of 10 personnel have been seconded from the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, Korea Aerospace Research Institute, and Agency for Defense Development.
