"Bit and Threw" 60-Year-Old Arrested for Abusing Stray Cat to Death

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 60s who abused a stray cat to death has been arrested by the police.
The Seoul Gwanak Police Station announced on the 2nd that they have booked and are investigating a man in his 60s, Mr. A, on charges of violating the Animal Protection Act.
According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of abusing a stray cat in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, around 5 p.m. on the 24th of last month.
A citizen who witnessed the crime scene at the time reported it to the police, and the police booked Mr. A on the same day. The cat was found to have been severely abused to the point that its face was disfigured and died.
After examining the condition of the cat's corpse, the police judged that Mr. A's abuse charges were valid.
