12 Seoul Seosomuncheong Employees Test Positive for COVID-19
Seongbuk-gu Sarang Jeil Church Closure Procedure Underway
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] On the 28th, Seoul City announced that 12 employees working at Seosomun Office in City Hall tested positive for COVID-19.
This is the first time that more than 10 Seoul City Hall employees have simultaneously tested positive for COVID-19.
Seoul City instructed employees working in Building 1 of Seosomun Office, where the confirmed cases were found, to get tested and to return to work only after receiving a negative result.
Seosomun Office consists of a total of four buildings located next to Deoksugung Palace across from the main City Hall building, with the largest number of departments housed in Building 1.
Meanwhile, Seoul City stated that Seongbuk-gu is proceeding with the facility closure process against Sarang Jeil Church for violating the order to suspend operations.

Song Eun-cheol, Director of Infectious Disease Control at Seoul City, explained in an online briefing, "Seongbuk-gu is conducting related procedures such as hearings to enforce the closure of Sarang Jeil Church."
