[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] On the afternoon of the 27th, a gas-related issue occurred at Samsung Electronics' Pyeongtaek semiconductor plant, leading to a temporary halt in factory operations for equipment inspection, which was later restored.
According to the industry and Samsung Electronics on the 28th, a problem related to gas pressure was detected in Pyeongtaek Line 2 the previous afternoon, prompting a brief equipment inspection during which the line operation was stopped. Samsung Electronics stated that the downtime was short, and after restoration, normal operations resumed immediately, resulting in almost no production disruption or damage.
