Saessak Store is a shared value creation model where BGF Retail utilizes the stable and professional franchise system of the convenience store CU for local community self-sufficiency labor projects. It has signed a business agreement with the Gimhae Regional Self-Sufficiency Center to pursue a virtuous cycle of employment and entrepreneurship for socioeconomically vulnerable groups.
Operating profits are used as employment support funds and startup capital for vulnerable groups, aiming to establish self-sufficiency enterprises that operate self-sufficiency labor projects in the form of cooperatives or business entities through stable management.
The Gimhae Heungdong Branch operates 24/7 year-round with self-sufficiency project participants working in teams of two on three shifts. It provides jobs to low-income residents while supporting employment and entrepreneurship in related companies based on management know-how to help independent productive activities.
