Start of Detailed Design Service, Completion Scheduled for 2024

[Haenam＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan) is accelerating the development of the 2nd district of the Ttangkkeut Haenam Food Specialization Complex.

On the 27th, according to the county, they have started the development plan and detailed design service for the 2nd district of the Ttangkkeut Haenam Food Specialization Complex, which includes the agricultural and industrial complex development plan, basic and detailed design, and environmental impact assessment, with the service expected to be completed in the first half of next year. The goal is to complete the development of the 2nd district by 2024.

The 2nd district of the Food Specialization Complex covers about 229,000㎡ in the Sangdeung-ri and Yongjeon-ri areas of Masan-myeon, and plans to include various support facilities such as industrial facilities, parking lots, roads, parks, and green spaces.

The industrial facility site area is about 137,000㎡, and the main target industries to attract are specialized complexes for food manufacturing industries such as clean agricultural and marine product processing, functional foods, and functional food supplements.

The 2nd district is adjacent to the already established specialized complex, which is expected to enhance competitiveness through the agglomeration of food manufacturing companies in the region and help continuous corporate attraction activities.

Haenam-gun is promoting the development of the 2nd district of the Food Specialization Complex to secure additional industrial sites for corporate attraction, as the Ttangkkeut Haenam Food Specialization Complex was fully leased in 2019.

Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan stated, “The development project of the 2nd district of the Ttangkkeut Haenam Food Specialization Complex is expected to lead to regional economic revitalization by stably supplying industrial sites in response to corporate demand and creating jobs through corporate attraction. We will accelerate the project to add vitality to the local economy without any setbacks.”
